Alicia Keys "As I Am" Tour

I attended the final show last night at Madison Square Garden and BOY what a show. Alicia is not only inspirational, she is phenomenal.
The showed opened up with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, who also performed well. Next up was Ne-yo, who surprised the audience by bringing on stage- my girl- Rihanna (to perform "Hate that I Love You) and also Fabolous ("Make Me Better").
But it was Alicia who blew the audience way- She performed songs from ALL of her albums. My throat was hurting when I left from singing at the top of my lungs (that's what I love about concerts since I can't do that in my apartment!)
Alicia devoted a big portion of her show to the children in Africa living with AIDS (check her out at http://www.aliciainafrica.com/), her show was a true "party with a purpose". I have great admiration for how Ms. Keys uses her "celebrity" to make a difference.

I am super jealous of you! I really wanted to go to her concert, but I wanted to see Mary J. and Jay-Z as well. Since my sweetie and I are on a budget (floor seats were 220 each crazy!), we flipped a coin and Mary and Jay won. I also screamed like a 13 year old and damn near passed out in excitement. It was great! Glad you enjoyed your concert as well!

Ditto what you said Wes...I was also there (YAY!) and you are right the whole show was great but Alicia definitely made the night. I love how she doesn't mind showcasing her back-up singers also, they can ALL sing so well and the dude sounded amazing on 'Diary.' I was happy when the white piano came up for the final song. LOVES IT :p

@ Bonafide Latina: Yes I agree that guy sounded great, I didn't catch his name but I'm assuming he must be a new artist signed to her label. I only wish I was at that afterparty!

I have yet to see her perform in person, but I too believe she is phenomenal. Definitely someone to keep your eyes on and your ears open with.

I have seen her in concert several times and she never disapoints... I love love love her energy on stage...

when she was on tour with missy and beyonce a couple years ago she did this thing where she got on top of the piano and was playing upside down and backwards... it was amazing!
