N*E*R*D: Seeing Sounds

I was so excited last week to see that N.E.R.D was finally back with their third album, "Seeing Sounds" (I've got all three now :) Soon as I got home from work I downloaded it from Itunes. I've got much admiration for Pharell, Chad, and Shay; they NEVER disappoint. I'm a fiend for anything different from what's considered the "norm". These guys are far from typical.

For those who don't know or understand the concept behind N.E.R.D (or "EN-EE-ARR-DEE"), it is a rock band. Although, I don't necessarily consider them to be really "rock" because their sound is on a whole different level. To classify their brand would be a disservice. N.E.R.D is a unique buffet of various sounds served up on a big bright plate! Pharell, Chad and Shay are all musical geniuses. They quench the thirst in a musical drought every time! I love their unique creativity, truly one of a kind sound- a new kind of music. For me, it's a breath of fresh air because I get so tired of hearing the same stuff day in and day out. They saved the day! I only hope that they continue to show us the sounds that they see.
