I had a pretty lame weekend. We're in the middle of summer and I haven't been to the beach yet and I can count on one hand how many bbq's I've been to. Hope you're having more fun than I am!Anyways, on Saturday -with nothing better to do- I went out and bought some false lashes. EYE LOVE LASHES! Long, dark, thick and voluptuous lashes to be exact. In the past, I've attempted to apply them on my own but ended up being frustrated every time. Though recently I've been spending time watching tons of "how-to" videos on YouTube. It's not as difficult as I thought and was actually quite simple this time. Practice makes perfect though and I think I might make this a main staple in my "dress up" make-up routine.
On occasion, I've gotten the individual lashes done professionally. The last time I had them done was when I went to Cancun- I didn't want to be bothered with mascara and too much eye makeup in that hot sun. They lasted pretty long but after a while they became annoying and I took them off. I received a lot of compliments on them though.
Next time I have some place special to go (which I'm hoping will be much sooner than later), I'd like to try these MAC #35 lashes. I think I might also want to try the Duo lash glue in black. I tried it in the white/clear color and it didn't really dry clear- I could still see some little crusty clumps (which looked like "eye crumbs" in my opinion).

Yessss! I love lashes. I have had both the experience of the high priced $200 lashes and the $2 variety. And the winner is...$2 version (lol).
I have not tried the MAC lashes but I usually use the clusters from the neighborhood CVS and the Duo adhesive. I have also had my battles with the glue, because the clear is not really clear and the dark doesn't hold more than a day. So I am still searching for the right glue.
My daughter's ballet teacher (who is a lash connoisseur) swears on Shu Uemura Adhesive, but I have yet to try it. Maybe I will run out today and get some...I will let you know how it turns out.
girllllll if you watch any of my youtube vids you see that I always wear false lashes with a look...they make such a difference. definitely get the the dark eyelash glue...i always use it...

I am like you in that I can never get those stupid things on by myself! For some reason my eye rebels and the lashes end up being a couple of centimeters above my lashline.... *sigh* I'll get one day!
I love long beautiful lashes. I have an addiction. Currently, I've been trying a lash conditioner and am seeing the difference big time.

@ DE: Tell me more about this lash conditioner! I saw the one Kim Kardashian uses but its waaaaaay to expensive.
