But guess what? YOURS TRULY was lucky enough to be chosen as the model for Jenn K!! Therefore, I received a surprise MAC makeover. Since I just love being pampered, there was no way I was turning down such an opportunity as this. I felt like a celebrity as I sat in the "artist's chair" while digital and video cameras went to work and the audience watched my transformation.
Jenn started off first with a fresh, clean, daytime look. Soon after, she spiced things up a bit and transformed me into a real video vixen.
LLL
For my eyes she created the "Smoky Eye" look (the flash on my camera was extremely bright but the shadow is a lot deeper then it looks):
- Start by first using a concealer as a base (Select Moisturecover was used)*Note: If you're crazy about lashes like myself (and Jenn too), apply mascara (Prolash Mascara in Coal Black) and apply one coat at a time (let previous coat dry before applying another). She applied about 3 or 4 coats with the wand and also with the 205 mascara wand brush.
Next, a combination of the following was used:
* Fluidline in Blacktrack: Used with #266 small angled brush, this method is supposedly easier than applying a pencil liner.
* Kohl Eyeliner in Smolder
* Eye Shadow in Saddle
* Mineralize Eye Shadow in Hot Contrast
* Brow Finisher in Clear
From what I've learned here, you DON'T need to be a professional in order to create great makeup looks. The most important factor when applying makeup is to definitely use small amounts (it's easier to add than to take away) and blend, blend, blend.
I don't really remember what Jenn used on my lips. I felt so bad because two girls came up to me afterwards asking me what colors she used- I had no clue!! But this is what I purchased:
* LipGlass in Lust* Clear LipGlass
I applied just a little bit of the Lust color first and then applied the Clear LipGlass as a glossy finish.
I'm curious now- How many of you honeys wear makeup on a daily basis? I hardly ever wear make up, I think this is the most make up I've ever worn at one time. Even though I really liked it on me, I just don't like the feeling of it being there (if you know what I mean).... And it took forever to take off... The makeup remover got in my eyes... It was a big mess to say the least!!

I don't wear it everyday. I just wear it on a whim, or when I have time to really sit down to put it on.
I wear makeup on a daily basis and love it. It's like second nature to me so with one quick sweep of the brush and liner im done that fast. My friends tease because when i do their makeup i do it so fast they dont get a chance to squinch because im already done. Im definitely a MAC girl. I have some of the products you listed already. Rocking the smokey eye today as a matter of fact. the lip gloss is niceeee tho! I love the lipglass color "spite"!! my fave. Looking good "big sis", thanks for the congrats on my teen vogue post!!
Hey Honeys,
I do wear lip gloss,mascara and a little eyeshadow, that's about it. Not really a make up girl, but Wes your makeup/makeover looked great from what I can see. Question: How do you get into such events? I would love to go to one, just to be in the midst of the Fresh and Fabulous.
Have a Great Day...
@ Nai Nai: Having fresh new stuff to write about everyday can sometimes be quite trivial! I found out about this event simply by searching online. There was a $75 fee to attend (but I got the money back in the form of a MAC gift card at the end of the seminar).
Check out different department stores online, many of them have a calendar of events. Some you may have to pay for and some may be free.
Wes, This blog is so good. You are doing a great job, you keep us honeys very informed.
I rarely wear make up... strictly opposed to foundation of any kind. I feel like you: I KNOW IT'S THERE!! But when I do wear make up I strictly play w/ the eyes... Love color, always aiming to make my eyes POP. Being that I have very full lips I find it hard to dress them up w/o looking like a clown...lol so they're usually nude w/ a gloss.
Yes, I love it, but couldnt wear it everyday! You're makeover looks wonderful. I love what she did to your lips.
I love the lips! Very pretty. I 'heart' make-up! It's like art to me. I don't wear it on a daily basis, but wish I could :-)
nice eyes and nice lips maam
I used to hardly wear makeup but now it’s a necessity. (Let’s not go into it) I about a 10 min face each morning. Since Wes’ “Revlon” blog…my MAC girl status has gone out the door…and I’ve mastered the fresh face, no make-up look.
Can I say gorgeous? Boy toy had to be happy to see you after you came home!! He probably likes you natural (like most guys say) but a sexy makeup look like that is always fun.
OMG you're so lucky! i haven't been to mac seminar yet but hopefully soon. i usually only wear makeup if i'm going somewhere on the weekends or filming a vid...during the week at work i'm makeup free.
Gorgeous! Those Bendel events are soooo much fun!
Love how your eyes came out :) BUt I understand what you mean when you say knowing that its there that's why I only mess with Bare Escentuals b/c I dont feel anything in there...I'm scared to try the liquid foundation thingys although I get curious a lot but I just always feel like it will break me out.
Another great post!
Love your makeover! I unfortunately wear makeup daily except on the weekends if I'm not doing anything or going out. I wish that I had never started, but now it's too late to go back. I wear mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss (not everyday), and concealer oh and blush. It's a shame! LOL! Of course my hubby likes me au naturel or so he says!!
it looks amazing! i kove the smoke eye, just not too sure on how to execute it. i wear makeup everyday, my friends say i'm addicted! lol
I use foundation to only cover an occasional blemish. But I definitly also know it's there so I stay away from it when I can.
I used to use concealer for dark eye circles but now I just got an eye cream and voila. No make up needed for the eyes.
My every day must use products: pressed powder, bronzer, brow highlighter, gloss.
Lucky girl! Sounds like a lot of fun!
Great blog. I LOVE make-up and, yes, I wear it on a daily basis (except on some weekends). Like another commenter said, it's almost like 2nd nature for me now. I look back at pictures when I didn't wear it (and didn't have a clue how to properly apply it) and woooooh! In the professional world that I'm in, having some type of MU is a must. I don't like the heavy feeling of MU either, so I tend to use MAC Mineralize powder; you really don't feel it's on. I wear eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, mascara and my mineralize powder.
@ Ebonee Monique: I purchased the MAC Mineralized powder too and I love it. It's very light and it evens my skintone nicely. I'm sloooowly starting to get into this whole makeup thing, lol.
I wear makeup everyday (pressed powder, blush, ligloss) and if I'm up for it I'll add eyeliner & mascara. If it's too hot (I live in NYC) then I just go au natural 'cuz i don't have time/patience to fix my makeup.
Very nice!! I rarely wear make up...mainly if I'm going out on the town or something. But still thats usually eye shadow and lip gloss...sometimes bronzer, but my skin is so oily I try to stay away from it.
