I needed another break. Over the weekend I decided to straighten my hair: BONE straight. I've consistently been using the Mizani Thermasmooth system (click here for my review on it). It actually works really well. I had a chance to really test it out last month in Florida. I had to attend a work related business meeting in Sarasota. It rained the whole day- it was extremely hot and extremely humid. Even though I wasn't outside longer than 5 minutes at a time, my hair didn't revert as quickly as it normally would have. Even in the New York humidity it held up pretty well. I've worn my hair straight this summer more than any other summer since I've been a natural.Recently, I've been in dire need of a new blow dryer (My cheap Conair brand just wasn't doing it for me anymore). I decided to try the CHI Pro Hairdryer. I didn't even know that CHI made hair dryers, I thought they were solely flat iron producers. It's light weight, pretty quiet (definitely not as loud as most), is tourmaline treated (adds ions and shine) and provides ceramic heat. The blow dryer also comes w/ a diffuser (for us curly honeys) and a concentrator attachment. I had to purchase a comb attachment from my local beauty supply store though for straightening.
I'm very pleased with my hair dryer- Have you tried any CHI products (styling products, flat irons, blow dryers, etc.)? Were you pleased as well?

I actually got my hair done last night and my hair stylish used a CHI hair dryer on me. It really worked b/c my hair is super straight. I just got a relaxer so that may have attributed to the extra straigtness, but I'm picking one up ASAP.
I didn't know they made dryers either, but I heard those ceramic dryers are the bomb.
i used to use the chi flat iron. It was actually really good, but my fhi is better.
I miss straight hair sometimes, but I do love my locs, I guess there's always wigs. lol
