But that's not what this post is about. I've always had love for Faith, since she first came on the scene with "You Used to Love Me" (this was her best album ever, a classic!). The first time I saw this book in Barnes & Nobles, I took a look at it and stuck to my motto of not buying those (said with my nose up in the air) books. I even went over and picked it up! Still, I kept to my word and put the book back on it's display.
Fast forward a few days. I received a text saying that "Keep the Faith" was an excellent read, and that she's candidly honest about not only her relationship with Big (If you're a hip hop head then you're familiar with the happenings during the Bad Boy era- she clears up many of the rumors), but about her life in general . This same revelation had come from more than one source. So, I went out and went against everything I said about not buying books "written" by famous folks.
What did I find? I found out that I could not put this book down. Faith gives explicit details of her life from start to present. Her days growing up in Newark, New Jersey, using her answering machine to record herself singing to performing "I'll Be Missing You" with Puff at the MTV Awards. She's definitely made quite a few mistakes in her lifetime, it's amazing to see how she's corrected those wrongs and just basically grew the hell up.
Would you read this book? Or are you like me and have "book prejudice"? ...(You get a pass on this one ;-)

I would read it. I heard it was good. I've read my fair share of celebrity memoirs, most fairly interesting. I may check this one out.
I'd definitely read her book. I also can't wait to see the Notorius B.I.G movie!

I work part time at Barnes & Noble and looked at her book and put it back on display. So far many customers have been receptive of Faith's book, and I do have book prejudice but I'm still thinking about whether or not I wanna read it, more than likely I will read it.
