As females, we know how much work goes into keeping up appearances. From the sting of waxing to the burning of a blow dryer; we go through a LOT. So, why is it that men- Men don't have to experience half as much as us women- have beautiful, shiny hair? Real (for instance) is KILLING me! His hair is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen a better head of hair on an actual human being. What are they doing? What are they drinking/eating? From Katt Williams to Snoop Dogg, these guys are murdering the hair game. Whomever their beauticians are needs to come forward. I've had enough!

all i can do when I watch Real Chance of Love is stare at that Man's hair! I think he went a little overboard with the barrel curls though, lol...but i think it's because guys don't abuse their hair till later and when they straighten it it's like virgin hair, that's my theory at least
@ Ren: Right, thats what I think too... They don't fuss w/ their hair as much (and as often) as we do
LOL!! I'm weird about men with perms. The only man I was with it on was Andre 3000, and he took it too far, getting his hair permed every other week and broke it off (sounds familiar, huh?). I am slightly jealous of Real's hair, but he looks like he going to kiss Chance at any minute, so I cannot watch Real Chance at Love.
It kills me to see Chance's hair too. I've never been envious of a man's hair before. Guys pretty much just 'wash and go', whereas we have been using products on our hair once we were old enough for it to matter.
Hey Ladies, you ar all correct. Men don't manipulate their hair nearly as much as women do. They can get away with looking crazy and so forth (for the most part). Women on the otherhand, society dictates that we are almost always on.
Well it is a scientific fact that men’s hair grows faster than women’s... I can't say I’ve been Jelly when it comes to men with hair. I admire it and move on; but the guy on Real chance. He's a bit much for me...LOL
Actually, some days he makes my stomach hurt...hhhaaa
This is so true!!! lol...Real, Real, Real...I could slap him because his hair is so beautiful. I want an explanation immediately. What is he doing that I'm not???
I'll have to agree, it kills me to see their hair so "luxurious" as Katt would say, I mean seriously, why can't I have hair that falls so nicely, my barrel curls never looked as nice as Real's.
I'm coveting the hair of a MAN...
I've unfortunately seen too many blow outs on my Dominican brothers. The madness needs to stop. If I see a guy with a doobie, I will know the apocalypse is near.
I find it very unattractive for a man to have long hair...there's just something about it that turns me off. It's not a good look at all.
*crawls from under rock* Who is Real? LOL..no really...I don't know who he is. I wonder why men would want to go through all of the time and maintenance that is hair. If I was a dude, I'd be rockin' a short fade all day and everyday.
Reals hair creeps me out! When he curls it I wonder did he do that himself. Does he do his own blowouts? As creepy as his hair is to me, I just can't stop looking at it.
I agree that no manupulation plus heredity is the key to their long hair.
I see so many young men these days with super long braids or ponytails looking a hotmess and then weeks later when they get them re-done or their hair combed/brused their hair is even longer :o(
I think we (women) just do so much to our hair that we are most likely stunting our hair growth.
So in August I decided to experiment on myself and keep my hair in 'protective' styles (i.e. box braids, twists) for one year (easy to get away with during the fall/winter months with hats and all).
I am curious to see how much my hair will grow (of course I am washing and conditioning during and in-between styles)but so far, so good.
I have noticed more growth and thickness in places that were thin and seemed like would never grow (like the middle of the back of my head). So we'll see if my "just like a boy" experiment works.
Kinda creepy, ain't it?
i agree with ren on why guys' hair survives...
but stylists, please do my hair and not theirs. can't stand a man with all that hair. just a bit too girly for me. =/
That is so annoying! My son has shoulder length curly hair that's naturally sun-streaked from surfing and all he does is shampoo occasionally. He's in the sea every week, baking his hair in the sun and it looks gorgeous while I sweat over mine and it doesn't look anywhere near as good.
I'm laughing hard!!! YOu should have included Prince. Past the age of 50 THE ONLY entertainer that probably has better styled hair than him is Rihanna. Her game is tight.
I'm laughing I didn't know it was like that. I'll give Snoop & Katt Williams a pass, hey everybody gives Snoop a pass. Rick James and George Clinton got a pass.
Real, Lloyd, Omarion* need to fall back. Although I see Omarion cut his hair a minute ago. But I'm not going to judge them because I'm sure they're using their hair to further their brand.

There are many homeless men with full head of hair because they do not mess with their hair at all, for obvious reasons.

I've seen many hair horror stories. There are way too many young women damaging their hair with lace-front wigs, bad perms, harsh chemical relaxers amongst other things. They will continue to gradually destroy their natural hair over the years until their hair line is nonexistant like many celebrities they wish to emulate. Example: Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Vivica A. Fox, have you seen their hair line lately?
I have also seen women who decided to focus on maintaining a healthy head of hair with beautiful results.
