The following question was posed yesterday by an anonymous commenter. I think it's a good question plus I'm interested to see what you guys suggest:Dear HBS,
For someone who doesn't like to spend a lot of time on hair maintenance, what are some tips for some quick styles that don't involve the dryer, rollers, flat iron?

Buns, two pigtail braids or one side braid have always been my "no fuss" favorites. They're very simple and require very little fuss and preparation time.
Two strand twists are a great hassle-free style.
Flat twist when hair is wet with fav leave in condish or styling product, untwist once hair is fully dry and the style should last a good 3-4 days;-)
do a couple bantu knots at night and let them loose in the morning for a nice soft afro with texture.
I have to agree with Wes when it comes to buns. You can do so much with them. They can be messy or sleek. You can put them up high or down low . . .put them to the side. They can be big or small . . .you can even do more than one. You can also use cute hair accessories to complete the look!
i love messy buns :)
flat twist versus two-strand twist? I CLEARLY don't know the difference.
Bantu knots, donut bun, braid-outs.. those are my favs.
oohhhh. to the head like french braids. GOT IT
Thanks for posting my question Wes! I am a newbie to the natural world and have been used to dealing with straight hair for a long time, as it is now I've been putting my hair in the same ponytail since i've gone natural and it's quite long so I"m sure I have more options. I'll try all the suggestions see how they turn out! Hopefully one day I'll have the patience to spend the time on my hair you do Wes ;o)
A pony tail puff is easy.
This is a great post. Braid-outs are a neat option too. They are great because they don't have to be neat, and you can do them in front of the tv.
