I've been very successful with my workout routine this week (Yay for me!). I'm using this blog as therapy (for myself, and hopefully YOU too) to help me move along swiftly and consistently (keyword) in my fitness journey. The program that I follow is based off of Prevention Mag's "Wipe Out Cellulite" program. My problem areas are my thighs and butt (All of those Friday Desserts settle there), my upper body is relatively easy tone. This program helped me immensely last year, until I fell off track. I'm back now though and this is how I began:Monday:
- 30 minutes on the treadmill: 1 min. run/1 min. walk intervals
- Stretched
-4 Leg press machines in increments of 5 pyramid reps (Pyramid training starts using a light weight and doing many reps ~I start at 30~ , the weight increases with each set and the number of repetitions decreases ~I finish at 10~). *For example: On the seated leg press, I started with 55 lbs, doing 30 reps. Next, I increase by 10, and do 25 reps, etc. until I get down to 10 reps)
Tuesday:
-30 minutes on the Elliptical: Hill climb program
-Stretched
-At home, I pulled out my yoga mat and my "Pick Your Spot Pilates" DVD.for a 10 min ab workout (I haven't used this DVD in about 2 years but these 10 minute workouts are highly effective when used on a regular basis).
Wednesday:
-Repeated Monday's workout
Thursday:
-Will repeat Tuesdays workout
My bf is a fitness guru (Billy Blanks needs to step aside!), he's been working out since forever so thanks to him and Prevention Mag., I'm able to tailor a fitness program to my needs. So, what did YOU do this week?

Good for you Wes!!!
As for me I joined a BootCamp class that meets in Central Park 2 times a week..and although I was very sore after day 1 I really liked the fact that I felt it after...it let me know my body was worked lol.
Good luck w. the rest!!!
Hooray for you Wes! I just came back from my biweekly 90 minutes hot yoga class... I love it!
I'm glad that your program is working out for you. I ran on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and lifted weights on Sunday and Tuesday. My commitment to myself is to run five days a week and do weight training three days a week. My diet has been on point. Do you all find that when you're in the 'workout zone' you tend to eat healthier? I’m nervous about falling off the wagon this weekend though:(
Get it gurl!!!! As for me I joined a class at our fitness center at work called BEST Achievment. It is a 15 week weight training group, we meet on Monday & Thursday. We started Monay and the trainer showed us how to use several weight machines properly. Today we did the machines and he wanted to see the maximum weight we could lift using proper form. So Monday he will have each of us set up on out own individual regimen. I am pretty excited about it, I have lost 12 pounds on my own but I know that building muscle is important. It felt good to be shown how to use the machines correctly too.
I love Billy Blanks lol. I swim every other day and do some tae-bo or weights in between.
yes I love it girl. Keep working. I do donkey kicks too. Like you, I get chubby in the booty area, but my donkey kicks keep it round but firm it up.
Very pleased about your programme, well done!
hey Wes keep it up girl sounds like you have a good plan there. As for me, right now I am following the 5 factor fitness plan- 5 weeks, working out 5 times a week, eatin right and lookin good!! They all consist of 30 minute workouts (more time if you increase the cardio) but I've been doin for a week now and have already seen results!! I highly recommend it!!!
