Re-Post: The Finished Product

Check the video to see what happens once the hair is completely dry...

video

Few things to note:

* I usually have a frizzy patch at the back, once the hair is dried I'll take a little conditioner and apply to the frizzed strands only.
*At night I pile my hair up high on my head in a very loose ponytail. In the morning I pretty much do the same flip and fluff routine.
*My wash & go routine is the same one Teri does (tightlycurly.com), this process works extremely well in humid weather.
*When hair is still wet: If you're worried about the little globs of conditioner on your strands, simply wet your hands and scrunch. The conditioner will squeeze itself off onto your fingers. However, once your hair dries you won't be able to see those globs anyways.

Great video!
I noticed your hair is layered in the back. Did you get it cut that way?

@ Anon. 11:53am: It depends... My hair usually takes a whole day to dry. When I don't have a lot of product in it, it dries very quickly- within like 3 hours. If its laden down with conditioner or some other product, it can take anywhere from 8 to 10 hours. However, I did notice that my hair dried quicker with Aussie rather than the Pantene.

@ Anon. 1:20pm: I would think that a wash & go would be much easier with a twa. Using your fingers to help manipulate your curls should help.

@ Anon. 6:19pm: Ever since I wore my hair in a Nia Long/Halle Berry-esque short cut, it grew out with layers in it. The only thing I do is get them trimmed or shaped from time to time.

hi wes,
i've been coming to you're site for a long time now.
i think your hair is beautiful. i have some hair depression going on and i hope you can help me. i've been completely natural since 2005 and i only henna once in a while i'm petrified of heat and my hair is fine textured. my routine is top notch but the problem is this: i have no kinks, curls, waves ANYTHING. my hair looks like blowed dried natural hair. i've searched all over the net to see if someone has hair similar to mines.no luck.i have 8-9 inches of soft healthy hair. no damage at all. do you think my hair type is common or am i a rarity. i really hope you have a clue cause i don't.
thank in advance

Wes,

Love, love, love the visual tutorial. After 4 hours my hair was 97% dry, I then fluffed and seperated and LOVE the result. It's what I've been whating for! My hair looks moisturized instead of the normal dry frizz I've been dealing with. Next step is to learn how to maintain this for a few days. My hair is VERY sensitive and at night will flatten out no matter which way I lay on my pillow or tie up my hair. Thanks so very much!
