I love your blog and your hair! This is the first summer that I've been completely relaxer free (transitioned for almost 3 years) and I have not straightened my hair all summer. Now that my relaxed ends are gone, I'm loving my hair and all the curly things I can do with it. With that said though, I'm also looking forward to the fall and being able to blow it out when I'm in the mood for a sleek, straight look. Do you (or your readers) have any advice or suggestions on the "healthiest" blowdryers? I've heard that ceramic/ionic is supposed to be the way to go. I'd love to hear feedback on this topic and any other tips for protecting my hair during occasional dips to the straight side :)
Thanks!!!!

I'd go for an ionic/ceramic blow dryer. Make sure that it has the capability to adjust the temperature. Also, when I purchased my blow dryer it came with a 1 year warranty; it's worth it to pay a bit more for security. Good luck!
Im interested in this too. I dont blow or straighten my hair often. However when i do, i dont want it to be in vain (2hour job...frizzes/fros up in 15 minutes or damaged ends). I just returned a blow dryer and the saleslady laughed at me and said "What was this thing supposed to do?" Smh. So suggestions would be great on a blow dryer and favorite flat iron. I've heard the FHI hot sauce is a good heat protectant or the Chi
I have a Chi Rocket and I am impressed by how fast my hair goes from freshly shampooed wet to dry! What used to be a 40 minute job is now approx. 20 min. Almost most dryers now are ionic/ceramic. Ceramic dryers help dry hair evenly and leave in moisture by releasing negative charges that cancel positive charges in hair. Ionic dryers help reduce static leaving hair feeling smoother. I would recommend spending money on a good blow dryer and NOT settling on a cheaper ionic/ceramic dryer. Generally, the cheaper the price, the cheaper the materials used...which will not be as beneficial in the end.
