Recently, I've been hearing a lot of talk about dry shampoos. I decided to try one out for myself and see if its really worth all the fuss...Who it's for: Ideal for oily (or less than clean) hair, styling fine hair and root touch-ups.
When to use: On dry hair

My thoughts: I used this about a week after I straightened my hair and I did NOT like this stuff. It made my fingers black and it made my brush black. I brushed, brushed, brushed until I felt like I had brushed it all out. The next day I rubbed my fingers along my scalp and although my fingers weren't black, I still felt the residue. However, my hair wasn't as oily as before but it still fell flat and pretty lifeless. I also didn't like the smell; it's got a strange powdery scent.
So don't be lazy, save your $35 and go wash your hair!
There's no easy way out... I've just proven it ;-)
Have you ever tried a dry shampoo? If not, would you?

I've never tried a dry shampoo, but I have tried brushing baking soda through my hair - an idea I got from a hair board. Hot mess!
Uuugh, that sounds like a horrible icky mess.
I use Oscar Blandi's dry shampoo. I suppose I've never expected it to liven up my strands....I just want it to work on my scalp so I can keep a bone straight look or a bun.
This is not a dry shampoo. The powder soaks up the oil and gives body to hair that needs to be washed but you can't or don't want to. I use it the second day after washing. I put it in sections where it tends to "show" the oil and get flat. I absolutely love it. I'll section my hair, lay a little powder along the part and then rub in with my fingers. Yes, it turns my fingers brown. So what, I wash them. My first bottle lasted me several years. I'm currently looking for a good price on my second bottle. This is a must have for anyone who does not want to wash hair everyday, but has to look as if you did. I promise I have nothing to do with B&B, I just love this product!
