Cut & Shaped

Soooo ladies, I got my hair shaped up. The top layers were trimmed and chopped to create more fullness and volume. I like it a lot - My curls are actually working better this way. I should have did a before and after shot- The Frederic Fekkai flat iron treatment had straightened my hair almost to a point of NO return. Even after getting under the shower stream and letting the water drench my hair, it was STILL straight. It didn't even get a wave until after the second wash. Talk about scary.
I'll NEVER go that straight again.
After washing and styling, my curls still weren't the same and the ends were stringy and straight- as if I had relaxed them. Once again: SCARY.
I'm glad this cut brought some relief, elasticity and life back into my once sad curls!

I'm trying out different styles and techniques, I'll keep you guys posted!

Looks great! Is that a twist out or a wash and go?

Love it. I'm been thinking about getting my hair cut but I'm scared that they will cut too much.

Where did you get your hair cut, and for approximately how much if you don't mind? I am nervous about salons who specialize in natural hair cutting my hair because it tends to be $$$.

The cut looks great. That is pretty sad about the curls not coming back after washing.

How did you manage to get the curls back? Are all your curls back?

That cut is smokin!! I don't think my hair will be the type that hangs, because I have true afro-textured curls..but if they did I would want them to look just like this!! :)

Looks very cute, Wes! I'm letting your flat iron incident be a warning to me. I have not put any heat on my hair this year and was planning a flat iron to do a cut around Christmas. I think I'll go with plan B,which is to trim a bit off of each curl and leave it alone first quarter of 2010.

Thanks ladies!!

@Anon. 9:33: It's a wash & go

@JC: The cut actually brought them back to life (they're all pretty much back). The dead straight ends were chopped off completely.

@Anon 12:58: The haircut experience itself was fine. I'm actually considering going a little shorter.

In regards to the salon, I'll have that info up for you guys later on in the week ;-)
