I came across the following quote this week from Lisa Nichols (thanks to a coworker) and have adopted it as one of my favorites:"A setback is a set up for a come back"
-Lisa Nichols
I've suffered a few setbacks in terms of getting my novel finished- I've even started working on a new story! I'm tired of dreaming and saying "I should be..." and have taken action: Every night before I go to bed, no matter how late, I'll put in some writing towards my novel. It may be a page, a paragraph, maybe even one word! But it's something and something is always better than nothing. This way, I KNOW it'll get done.
Enjoy your weekend!

I've heard Joel Osteen say it during one of sermons. I luv the quote. It keeps me P.U.S.H.ing(praying until something happens) toward my goal.
Good for you!
@ Hard Shell: Ohhhh... I like that!
Good for you Wes, cant wait to read it.
Funny you should talk about your writing...I was listening to public radio and an author called in to speak to another author about writer's block and getting a good writing flow. He responded by saying that his advice to every author is to set aside time to write every morning before everything else happens so that there is nothing else in your mind (family, what happened in your day, etc. . .) except for the writing. He said you may have to go to bed a little earlier to set up for it, but it will improve your writing! Hope that helps. I am a longtime lurker, and a natural curly who has definitely benefitted from your tips!!! Happy writing!!!!
