Recently I've been experimenting with BIG hair. Big hair qualifies as hair that has very little product in it and involves the least amount of manipulation. Random hair. A few weeks ago, one of my great friends celebrated her 30th birthday. I decided to get off of my "comfort stool" and go on the edge. My friends LOVE the wild, big hair and so I decided to go for it.I washed and conditioned my hair as usual. Using slightly less than a palmful of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine leave-in cream, I thoroughly massaged the entire amount from roots to ends. I blow dried my hair using the open air (no attachments, no diffuser), blowing it randomingly in various directions while focusing on having the hair frame my face.
After about 15 minutes, my hair was completely dried (to avoid using too much heat, I used the "cool" button). Afterwards, I applied Mizani's Butter Rich hairdress for nourishment and sheen.
What's your take: Do you prefer defined and controlled curls or big, wild and random hair?

i love the big wild look in general. but for now, i prefer defined curls for me, while i'm at this in-between length. i'll rock the big-n-fluffy look after i get some more length and volume.

Your hair looks great! I prefer big, wild & random hair. I think the looser & bigger the better. When I get roller sets, I pick at the curls to loosen them a bit and sometimes stand in the bathroom w/the door closed if the curls aren't 'falling' fast enough so it can be really big & wild. Big hair is definitely a confidence booster.

I prefer wild and random. But I try to rock the defined look at work. Unfortunately my hair sometimes doesn't get the memo and does its own thing.
Wes that's a hott look for you! I love big, wild hair too. Even when I blowdry my hair straight, I still like it to have some volume and fullness.

I LOVE BIG HAIR!!! Your hair looks great. The shape is working! Not sure if you've done a listing on natural hair salons in NYC? I am desperately trying to find one for a very necessary TRIM and shape! I am too nervous to go out here in Philly.

When I blow dry, I just turn my head upside down and dry about 75% and then blow the rest from the top... I scrunch the whole time and manipulate some curls around my fingers to frame my face. Beautiful!... Well when it grows back. I just cut it...
