Last night I had the opportunity to attend the Optimum Hair Care Miracle Oil launch party where Curly Nikki and Tracee Ellis Ross were the guest hosts. Now, keep in mind - I haven't attended one of these events in quite a while...
I can honestly say I felt a little "out of touch" with the blogging world. So much has happened since I've been actively involved. So many new bloggers and new faces. It was odd to me that I didn't run into any familiar faces (aside from Ms. Nikki!). The cycle continues though; for every blogger who has quit or moved on to better things (which many have), there's one or more individuals there to snatch up the spot. Especially in this business of natural curly, kinky and coily hair. This leads me to my next thought: the crowd was BEAUTIFUL!!
So many women with so many different textures of gorgeous hair invaded the lofty space. Now, I have nothing against weaves and relaxed hair, but looking around at the crowd I couldn't help but think that, WOW, this is a crowd full of beautiful, unique, exotic and natural women in all of their "natural glory"! I realized that I too am a part of that crowd - the natural hair revolution!

This was my 2nd Curly Nikki event. I actually feel this one was more live than the last one.
